Description

Aphelandra squarrosa is a compact tropical evergreen shrub with large, glossy, ovate dark green leaves with white veins. Typically grown as a houseplant. In summer, it produces spikes of yellow flowers on an upright stem.

Thrives in a range of lighting conditions from light shade to bright, indirect light, avoid direct sunlight. Keep the soil evenly damp and water when the top of the soil feels dry to the touch. Mist regularly to ensure a humid atmosphere. Prefers warmer temperatures between 18°C and 24°C, keep away from draughts.

The sap may cause skin irritation, keep out of reach of children and animals.
