The fruits start out green and then mature to a bright red colour as they ripen. The plants themselves are compact, growing to a height of around 30cm and are perfect for growing in containers or in the garden. 'Prairie Fire' is also an early-maturing variety, producing ripe chillies as early as July, making it a great choice for gardeners who want to enjoy their chilli harvest early in the season.
